“Creating Opportunities for all Kids”
Join middle level educators from across the state to visit Westivew Middle School, an exemplar middle school that has been designated a Colorado and National School to Watch! Westivew is located in the foothills of beautiful west Longmont and is part of the St. Vrain Valley Schools.
Register – $60 per person or $50 per person for teams of 5 or more

9 AM – 2 PM
Participants will learn specific, replicable practices that can be implemented in other middle school settings. All site visits include a school tour, time to connect with teachers and students, and an onsite lunch.
Session Objectives
- Become familiar with the National Forum’s “School to Watch” Critieria of Success
- Identify the key attributes and cultural components of excellence at Westview Middle School
- Understand Westview’s philosophy of Creating Opportunities for ALL Kids!
- Gain insights from Westview’s use of Student-Teacher Progression, i.e, Looping
- Observe Westview’s Integrated STEM Block in action
- Learn proven strategies to “Tell Your Story” to market your school’s message
